An extra sweet valentine's Day arrangement

Flowers and candy are the quintessential Valentine's Day gifts. Here, we combine them for an extra special arrangement that anyone would love. Keep scrolling for this easy how-to!

 Materials:

Oasis floral tape
Floral food
Clippers
Water
Two floral containers of similar height, one should be .5" less in diameter; outer container should be clear
M&Ms - two bags
Four stems greenery (we used Israeli Ruscus)
Seven stems red roses
five stems pink spray roses
five stems white textural element - we used Statice

Start by creating a tic-tac-toe grid on your inner container using Oasis waterproof floral tape. (You can use Scotch tape in a pinch, but it won't be as sturdy–and definitely not waterproof.)

Next, place your inner vessel inside your outer vessel. Pour M&Ms in the space between your inner and outer vessel. Fill your inner vessel with water that's been treated with floral food.

Next, begin your design by placing your greenery in the outer squares of your tic-tac-toe grid. (It may flop around at first–it will become more secure once you place your other flowers!)

Prep your remaining flowers by removing all stems and leaves that would fall beneath the water line. This prevents the breeding of bacteria. Cut all stems to the same length. We cut ours to around 7 inches–just enough to rest against the lid of the outer vessel. The length of your stems will vary depending on the height of your vessels.

Begin your design by placing the red roses. It's up to you where in the grid you place them! Use your imagination. We like to space ours out evenly.

Next, add the pink spray roses. (Any pink flower would work here. Pink Camellias are beautiful this time of year!) Again–get creative with placement. We like to space these to where they are evenly represented throughout the arrangement.

Finish by adding your white textural element. This will break up the design a bit and bring out the white M&Ms. Other options for white texture include Baby's Breath and Wax Flower.
